Silent Sunday

The normal peace and tranquility of the tea house, pond and Japanese garden moves to a whole new depth in the snow.

I love the silence that comes with a heavy snowfall. I can imagine that you're enjoying the view.

Glad the photos are going up again!

Unfortunately I can't see the pond from the house as it's higher up the slope of the garden than the house....but I did spend a happy 10 minutes or so watching 3 foxes play in the snow on the lawn and around the shrubs! :-)

I have to confess that I only tried the one Sue, but at least it worked! I went with turning the computer off and on again!!!

That is so true...there is a depth to winter that isn't there during any other season...

Each season has it's delights, but winter shows the bones.

Beautiful! If i were a fox, I'd live in your garden, too! :o)

I love Winter Jen - strange really considering how much I hate being cold!But I wrap up very warmly and go out to enjoy that deep, deep silence and softness in the air and the 'bones' of the garden -a wonderful description!

Casa, you can come and visit my garden anyway even though you're not a fox!
It has snowed more overnight and as I was taking photos out of the window at 7.00am an owl with a mouse in its claws flew sraight over my head and over the house roof - I may have had a camera in my hand but I was too awed to get a photo! :-P

Woo hoo - you beat Google into submission! Welcome back :}

How marvellous to see the owl with its catch. Not so good for the mouse but such is life.

Ey up Bilbo - well I got one photo uploaded anyway! :-P
I'll try to get several up shortly and see if it behaves itself for me!

Yes, the owl really took me by surprise. I knew it was around because we can often hear it, but to see it so close (about 10ft away, maximum) was amazing!

I've also see badger tracks - which has made me very happy as we rarely glimpse the badgers and I have to wait for snow to check up on them!
