Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all of you - friends old and new from near and far who have visited my blog and left comments for me. You have made me laugh, made me cry, inspired me to better things (mainly photography and writing!) and allowed me to peek into your lives and pinch ideas and gardening skills. I thank each and every one of you for your kindness!
Soppy bit over now! :)
The snow continues unabated here.........
With just the occasional attempt at a thaw
and although Ceefer cat no longer hates the snow, he has proved to be useless at hide and seek!
I wish you all a joyous Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous 2011.
Enjoy! :D

Hi Liz,

Wow, is that for real??!!!

I can't believe you still have so much snow, there's nothing here! Just some peppering of snow left over from sleet over a week ago now, but roads and pavements are all clear, sticking mainly on the grass.

Loving the photo of ceefer, bless.

I hope you have a lovely Christmas and new year and that the snow soon melts!

Merry Christmas to you too! I've enjoyed all your Tea House posts and look forward to joining you (through the wonders of blogging!) for tea there next summer.
....and I haven't forgotten that I'd promised you a recipe - I'll try to get it out before the holidays are over!

I think your icicles are longer than ours!

Have a good one, and try to keep warm(ish). Brandy helps, allegedly!

Hello Liz,

So sorry for all the snow and cold, but that too shall pass. ;) It does make for lovely photos, including your header. If I were to change mine to the order of the day, it would be of rain!

I wanted to be sure to stop by and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope yours is filled with joy and many blessing. Thank you for enriching my life in 2010.

Thanks Nutty. Have a great Xmas and here's looking forward to meeting up again next year (there's a "Sheffield Bloggers" meeting on the cards!) As a Rotherham lass now hailing from Chesterfield I think on average you count as Sheffield!

Sithee.

Hi Catherine - a very happy Christmas to you and your family too! We still have lots of snow at home, but we're on the Isle of Wight at my brother's and they have NO snow (we left it behind on the mainland!). It seems very strange to be in a green world again after having white for so long!

Hi VP. They were pretty impressive icicles weren't they?!
Have a great new year :)

Looks so magical, providing for a clean slate to see the landscape in a brand new way, beyond our standard associations and relationships that we all normally create.

May this season of refreshing continue to grow and expand in all of our lives.

Happy Holiday.

Hi IG.Hope you had a good Christmas too. Don't know about brandy, but gin works well!

Hi Di - I don't mind the snow actually, so I'll be quite sad when it all melts!
We're having a wonderful laughter-filled Christmas with my extended family and it's been so nice being all together for the first time in ages :) Hope your Christmas has been equally good? :)

Ey up Woody - hope you and Wilma had a good one?! A Sheffield bloggers meet would be fun and I can cope with being a temporary 'Shefulder' for a few hours!!!

Hi Bernie - you're so right about the effect of snow on the way people see the world. People have become much more community focused, looking out for one another, clearing paths, pavements and roads, doing shopping and so it. It's been such a refreshing change from our fairly insulated normal lives.
Many good wishes to you and Stacey for 2011.

Hi Phoenix C. We had a lovely Christmas with my extended family - all 9 of us together for the first time in ages. Lots of love and laughter, it was great fun!
Sadly all our snow thawed whilst we were away - it was a bit of a shock to see green again after so long!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better this next year, so Happy New Year :)

Hi Liara - so nice to see you again. Thank you for your lovely comments. I hope I never loose my enthusiasm for life! :)
Have a good 2011 :)

OMG! That shot of Keefer is priceless. Why does it make me think of the carnival game "Wack-a-mole"?

Carolynn, you crease me up - that's brilliant! :)
